Shavon Akhan has 15 years of experience in the Natural Hair Care industry.  
During this time she has established a flourishing business, with a loyal
clientele, some of which have relied on her for their hair care needs since she
began her career.

Since attending Dudley's Beauty College in 95', she decided to focus her
business on natural hairstyling techniques.  "We have so many alternatives
to styling now, it's just not necessary to keep putting chemicals, that are
damaging to our well-being, on our hair."

In addition, Shavon is a member of The American Hairbraiders and Natural
Haircare Association (AHNNA). She has and continues to participate in
numerous workshops and seminars on the latest innovations in the Natural
Hair Care industry.  Shavon has received certification in over 20 techniques,
some of which were provided by master braider Taliah Waajid.

"My intention is to continue and honor the legacy of our ancestors with this
art form of hair design, and to create an environment that is holistic and
nurturing to our sacred beauty."
